Haynes District 2 Scholarship Fund
The Haynes District 2 Scholarship Committee demonstrates a commitment to its community and the city of Nashville by awarding scholarships to students within District 2 who wish to continue their education beyond high school. High school students graduating in the 2026 Spring Semester, who have been admitted to a post-secondary educational institution, and who plan to enroll in an institution of higher learning in the 2026 Fall Semester, are encouraged to apply.
Essential criterion for applicant review is the applicant’s: (1) financial need, (2) residency within District 2, and (3) acceptance at a post-secondary educational institution. Other criteria include academic performance, school activities, community service, letters of reference, essay submissions, and additional information outlined in the application packet. An interview session may also be required of all applicant finalists.

Choose How You Move:
An All-Access Pass to Sidewalks, Signals, Service, and Safety
Mayor Freddie O’Connell’s Choose How You Move transportation improvement program focuses on four key areas: sidewalks, signals, service, and safety. It improves safety on Nashville’s streets for everyone, offers public transportation 24/7/365 for the first time in the city’s history, upgrades 2/3 of the city’s intersections to smart signals, so Nashvillians spend less time at red lights, and it completes the WalkNBike Nashville priority sidewalk network when combined with annual capital spending.
